Racial Abilities

In a patch on January 12, 2007, the folks at Sigil Online Games bring us Racial Abilities! These of course are subject to change before release. But a peek at them as they started out is always fun.
RACIAL ABILITIES
- Call of Haelifur
- As a Dark Elf, chosen race of Haelifur, god of dragons, you are able to call forth a spawn of Haelifur to aid you in combat for a short time. As you increase in power, so will the creature gaining access to new and more powerful abilities.
- Earthen Embrace
- Your race's kinship with the earth and stone allows you to use its power for protection. When activated, your body becomes hard as stone, granting you a 25% rune to damage, removing all poisons and giving immunity to knock back, poison and stun.
- Gnomish Distillers
- Your people are gifted at the manipulation of crystals. Using various grades of Chrysol Distillers you are able to create crystals of many varieties, each with its own powers.
- Hex of Ghalnn
- Children of Ghalnn, your kin have the ability to place a hex on your foes. Attackers of an opponent that has been hexed will gain life and energy with each strike.
- Symbol of Jin
- Enable you to call upon the protective nature of Jin, applying a rune and damage shield to your group. This barrier will absorb 15% of incoming spell damage and will reflect a portion of that damage back to the attacker.
- Shroud of the Vael
- Living in a world inhabited by larger races has made your people extremely good at hiding themselves. This ability will immediately remove all but fraction of your target's hatred of you and for 30 seconds all of your attacks will generate far less hatred than normal.
- Pride of the Vael
- Your kin's ability to mock and jeer their opponents is well known. This ability causes your offensive target to instantly feel great hatred for you, and for 30 seconds all of your attacks will inflict twice the normal amount of hate.(Available to Warriors only.)
- Arcane Balance
- Your affinity to magic allows you some control over the flow of energy. Arcane Balance takes the total remaining energy of your group, adds an additional 25% and then reditributes the energy evenly among all group members.
- Spirit of Jin
- Enables you to call forth the revitalizing energies of Jin, instantly healing 45% of your defensive target's hit points and energy.
- Curse of the Ancients
- Using ancient magic, passwed down from the great tomb lords of Nusible Necropolis, you can curse your opponent, causing a momentary stupor. While affected your target will be stunned and have a very limited awareness to nearby threats for 8 seconds. When the curse fades, the target will have no memory of you or the curse.
- Swiftness of the Sands
- You people are extremely quick and agile especially in combat. When activated, you will evade all attacks for 10 sec.
- Inspiring Tactics
- The Leadership skills of you people are unrivaled. You will the choice between three different types of inspirations: Inspiring Presence - 2% mitigation. Inspiring Wisdom - 2% Mana Cost Reduction. Inspiring Tactics - 2% Damage. You may only maintain a single inspirational ability at once.
- Symbiotic Armor
- The symbiotes that sustain the life of your race can also be used to provide protection in times of need. When activated, your symbiote will cover you in thick, tar-like armor, increasing mitigation by 25%. Attackers have a chance of having their attacks and movement slowed each time they strike you.
- Fortitude of Torsheim
- As a Lesser Giant you are able to call upon your great father, Torsheim for aid in battle. When activated, you will gain a 50% bonus to your max hitpoints for 60 sec.
- Fury of Ghalnn
- As children of Ghalnn the Blood Drinker, your people can call upon his strength and fury for aid in combat. When activated, your melee and spell damage will be increaded by 10% for the next 5 attacks. Every attack will also heal you for 50% of the damage dealt.
- Planar Shift
- Your extra planar origin allows you to shift yourself across multiple planes of existence. While this ability is active, all incoming spell damage is reduced by 50%
- Endless Strength
- The vigor and power of your people is unmatched. When activated, all damage will be increased by 25%, and the cost of seplls and melee attackes will be reduced by half.
- Desert Skin
- The generations spent in the harsh wastes of Qalia have hardened the skin of your people. When activated, you will mitigate 50% of all incoming damage for 15 sec and attackers have a 50% chance of being stunned for 2 sec.
- Spiritual Bond
- Your race's affinity to the spirits of the land allows you to create powerful spirit bonds. When activated, you form a bond with the members of your group causing 25% of the damage they deal to be returned to you as health.
- Form of Nature
- Enables you to become one with Jin and assume the form of a sacred Okami. While in this form, your run speed will be increased by 50% and you will be immune to all movement impairing effets.
