Attributes

Character Attributes

Strength affects:

  • your melee damage bonus,
  • your chance to block, and
  • how much weight you can carry before becoming encumbered.

Constitution affects:

Dexterity affects:

  • your chance for melee critical hits,
  • your ranged damage bonus,
  • your chance to parry and dodge,
  • your chance to completely resist a spell,
  • your chance to defend yourself with defensive abilities, and
  • your chance to recognize and react to enemy abilities.

Vitality affects:

  • your healing effectiveness,
  • your in-combat health regeneration,
  • your energy regeneration, and
  • your mounted movement speed.

Intelligence affects:

  • your spell damage effectiveness,
  • your chance to identify spells and recognize tactics,
  • your chance to detect opponents and perceive their maneuvers in combat,
  • your chance to counter spells, and
  • your chance to prevent opponents from countering your spells.

Wisdom affects:

  • your chance for spell critical hits,
  • the size of your energy pool,
  • your chance to detect opponents and perceive their maneuvers in combat, and
  • your chance to counter spells.

Attribute Charts

Starting attributes are based on class. Race determines attribute caps and allocations.

Attribute Reallocation

As you earn experience, you also earn refund points, which you can use to change your any attribute points you spent. You can have as many as 50 refund points at any one time. Each time you lower an attribute by 1, you spend one refund point and add one point to your pool of unallocated points.

  • Once you spend a refund point, it is gone (even if you immediately reallocate a point to the same attribute).
  • You can never refund points that were allocated automatically.

Other Stats

Armor Class
Your character's armor class is how well you will mitigate the damage from melee and spells.
Attack
The attack statistic is your character's melee damage. This number is affected by the melee weapon you have equipped.
Defense
Defense effects your character's ability to evade and mitigate damage.
Endurance
This is the pool which is used for abilities and running (sprinting). The cap for endurance is 100, though the regeneration rate is much faster than energy.
Energy
This is the pool which is used for spells.
Hit Points
Hit points measure your character's life.
Ranged
The ranged statistic is your character's ranged damage from a basic ranged attack. This number is affected by the ranged weapon you have equipped.

  • Fire
  • Cold
  • Physical
  • Arcane
  • Spiritual
